Had a honey jug spring a leak so, it seemed like a good reason to make some mead. Probably around 2 pounds of honey in half a gallon with premiere blanc yeast. I usually use premiere blanc for cyser but, it goes great in any spring/summer mead. We let it go for about 2 weeks and, today, we racked off the lees and added some of last year's harvests of blueberries with a little mint and rose petal. I highly recommend making your own mead or wine. It's a fun and inexpensive activity that you can incorporate gardening and foraging into! GO OUTSIDE! Find ingredients, create!

Pheasant Back/Dryad saddle. Basic rule of thumb is to get em when they're palm sized or smaller. I find that the smaller the better though. The bigger ones make absolutely wonderful soup stock
