Friday, I made a steak in ramp infused butter. Ramps (Allium tricoccum) are an amazing natural edible in this area. If you have them in your area, harvest them. Every part of the plant is usable and great. Ramps are a plant that needs sustainably harvested though. If you find a small patch, cut the rhizomes off in the field and stick em back in the hole. Only take a few full plants from a bunch. Most importantly, Don't tell anyone where you find them. The same with any other resources. Keep it within your Kin and educate them on the gifts from the Gods. We have a responsibility to preserve nature. And, as always... GO OUTSIDE
Took the wife and kids out for a little stomp around a local nature trail. Not much but still had fun and they learned some things. (Pic quality is crap because I didn't take my camera)
Had a honey jug spring a leak so, it seemed like a good reason to make some mead. Probably around 2 pounds of honey in half a gallon with premiere blanc yeast. I usually use premiere blanc for cyser but, it goes great in any spring/summer mead. We let it go for about 2 weeks and, today, we racked off the lees and added some of last year's harvests of blueberries with a little mint and rose petal. I highly recommend making your own mead or wine. It's a fun and inexpensive activity that you can incorporate gardening and foraging into! GO OUTSIDE! Find ingredients, create!
As you may have noticed, I'm gonna be sharing more than just photos here. My photography started from my love of nature and a traditional lifestyle and that's what I'd like to share with y'all

Hyperborea has been corrupted by dark magic. The people live in squalor and fear. Every day they pray for a hero.
Will you answer their prayers?

I'm sure y'all already know big Dave. If you don't, go check him out. Especially if you're a fan of pulp fiction writing (not the movie..lol) and traditional and/or heathen lifestyle. He's also developing an old school style video game which looks boss as hell!
