A Response to Megha Liliwhite's
"What we Owe the West"

On June 5, 2023, Megha Liliwhite published an article titled "What We Owe to the West". Usually I feel no need to respond to classical liberals when they attempt to repackage their worldview as antithetical to progressive liberalism and try to pass off the root cause of Modernity as some kind of spiritually kindred relative of the various traditional schools of thought. This time, however, I felt the need to write a response article.

It is not necessary for you to read her original article if you have not yet done so as the second portion of my response directly quotes almost every passage in her original article and responds to each passage one at a time.

The Trinity of the White Race: Anglosphere, Yankees and Jews

Omar Amine, formerly known as Claudio Mutti, was a Nazi-Maoist Italian philosopher, political analyst and associate of Franco Freda and Alexander Dugin. According to him, German geopolitical ambitions must exclude the "white race" which he identifies as English, American and Jewish.

Claiming that it is an enemy of National Socialism, he states:

"Not only 'anti-Semites' like Wagner and Chamberlain but also Jews like Weininger noted relationship between the English type and the Jewish type if we are to judge by the “origin myth” that affirms that they are both the descendants of the Israelites. It would be better to abandon the unrealistic views of those -- within National-Socialism -- who are filled with illusions of gaining England to their own side (a nation indisputably of the “white race” - but the Jews and the Yankees are as well!) to the benefit of German geopolitical projects."

Wyndham Lewis (1882–1957) was a British novelist, painter, essayist, and polemicist. Credited with being the founder of the only modernist movement from Britain, Vorcticism, Lewis approached politics as an aesthetic discipline. His 1931 work Hitler was written after his visit to Germany that year, and highlights the charged atmosphere and uneasy tension that permeated Berlin. Bringing his wit and humor to analyze a country on the eve of revolution, Lewis argues that in contemporary 'emergency conditions' Hitler may truly be the best option for Germans.

Branded a National Socialist sympathizer, Wyndham Lewis's reputation never recovered from the release of this book. Throughout the 1930's he persisted in his advocacy of what is now termed "appeasement".

Benito Mussolini -- Fascism and National Socialism

Upon his visit to Germany in September of 1937, the Duce of Italy, Benito Mussolini, gave a speech addressing the German people in German about the genuine friendship between himself and their Führer, Adolf Hitler. Mussolini emphasized how the Fascist ethic reflected his own personal morality and that neither he nor the Italian people would ever forget that when 52 states in the world enacted sanctions against Italy, Germany was one of the few countries that refused to do so. Mussolini proves his sincerity by calling Hitler his friend and promising to march with him towards the very end.

This speech is the most famous of all speeches delivered by Goebbels. The speech was the first admission by a Nazi official that Germany was facing a serious situation.

Goebbels affirmed Germany's survival and addressed the German people to continue the war even if difficulties existed for a long time because the survival of Europe was at stake.

Until now, the Nazi regime had done its utmost to avoid the use of the term "total war of nations" to remind people of the failures of World War I and to make it appear that national life was not strained by the war, but with this speech, it began to publicly address total war of nations as a positive necessity.

ADOLF HITLER ON LIBERALISM AND WHITE SUPREMACY

Before we get into this speech delivered by Adolf Hitler on the 27th of January, 1932 at the Industry Club in Düsseldorf, we analyze how Hitler’s concept of “race” and “class” were heavily derived from Friedrich Niezsche’s worldview.

After this, we analyze the actual speech itself by Hitler. This speech represents the lengthiest known comments by Hitler discussing a so called “white race”, a subject otherwise almost entirely absent from his public speeches, and generally touched upon only briefly in his books and his supposed "Table Talk". It should be noted that Hitler takes a Nietzschean approach in that he uses “White Race” as a synonym for the “Bourgeois Class”.
