In UK the fake-Conservative Party has come out pretending to be on the side of freedom and the motorist by "opposing" Mayor Khan's ULEZ expansion. BUT remember ULEZ was invented by fake-Conservative Boris Johnson and the fake-Conservative government made ULEZ expansion a condition of the government loan to bail out Transport for London (see below) in 2020 . The fake-Conservatives are the blue wing of the Uniparty and playing the voters who actually believe that fake-Conservatives oppose net zero madness 🤦♂️
The case that ULEZ expansion will "save lives" is a flat out lie - Jacobs' independent technical report to TfL makes clear that the miniscule reduction in PM 2.5 (less than 2%) means that the associated health "benefits" from reducing this pollutant are literally zero (there is a benefit from NO2 reduction, but it is tiny) - see table.
The number that the State does not want you to know is £ 1,383,000,000,000 - that is £ 1.4 TRILLION and represents the gross capital required to introduce largely pointless net zero by 2050. This is taken straight from 6th Carbon Budget footnotes - just to verify it was also reported by FT - add up the bars 2020 to 2050 and you will get £ 1.4 trillion. That is just under £ 50,000 per 🇬🇧 household.
Yesterday the UK State passed one of the most liberty crushing pieces of legislation in history under the Energy Bill. This is completely unreported by MSM and edgy UK "media" Talk TV etc. Under the Bill - the State will be able to FORCE people to get smart meters by end 2025 and will put smart meters into all major electric appliances (see grab), which can then be controlled externally. The have also opened the door to creating a offense with up to 1 year in prison for not complying with their energy performance certification regime.
A lot of people brush this off with "I'll never get a smart meter" but the reality is that electricity suppliers HAVE TO ensure that ALL of their customers have smart meters by the end of 2025 - that is part of the licensing conditions imposed by Ofgem - in reality those opting out of smart meters will probably end up being cut off from the grid.

The 🇬🇧 Government somewhat accidentally gave an almost accurate assessment of electricity generation costs from gas versus wind - they called this the Enhanced Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE) which partially accounts for massive downstream grid costs from unreliable wind. The chart below shows GAS (CCGT H class) being by far the CHEAPEST and offshore wind being the most EXPENSIVE.
