Meta Could we have some automated bot that deletes the posts and permanently bans the users who post Polymarket ads?
Add a simple rule that prohibits posting any image that contains the word Polymarket, their logo or their percentage charts. They keep spamming their shit in this sub and I am tired of it. I don't know how to do it but surely one can make a bot that automatically scans images to try and filter these out?

Other Does Benford’s Law apply to numbers chosen by people?
Benford’s law states that the probability that the first digit of a randomly chosen number in a naturally occurring dataset is 30.1% And there is a solid information theoretic reason for this (the frequencies of digits scale logarithmically, so the probability that the most significant digit is d is log(d+1)-log(d)).
How about the following scenario: If we ask people to choose a positive integer without setting an upper limit, would the first digit of the numbers they choose follow Benford’s law?
I understand this is more of a psychology/human behavior question rather than math question, but it is still interesting from a mathematical perspective.

Request million dollar button
If there was a button that gave a $1 million every time you pressed it, but doubled the cost of everything (only for you), how many times could you press it before you were unable to afford anything (effectively impoverished)? When I say everything, I mean gas, food, car prices, house prices, utilities, anything money can purchase, the price is doubled for you only.

Request I need to find out how much intestines I have left.
Ok, long time lurker here. I wanted to see if anyone can help me do some math for me. I had intestines removed when I was born due to necrotizing inter-colitis. I wanted to see if anyone can help me figure out how much I have left based on what was removed - which was 10 inches.
1 caveat is that the doctors did not specify in their notes (at least what they gave my mom) whether it was small or large intestines. I am not sure if that will change the equation or not.
Additional notes if they are needed. I am a male, 6 ft tall. When I was born I was 3.5 pounds and they were removed at less than 1 year old. (I was also premature by 3 months).
