Todo el año fue, aunque realmente éramos muy pocos los realmente allegados...
Ver un cadáver, no es la mejor sensación del mundo...y de la manera en que murió, sólo te recuerda lo frágil que eres en el Gran Esquema de las Cosas...una mota de polvo insignificante.
Yo, hice un poema dedicado al difunto, lo leí en el velorio...por primera vez sentí que mis escritos sentían para algo, que por primera vez la poesía que escribía portaba genuinamente sentimientos...fue tan...humano
Según se me informó, se hará una copia más formal del poema que le será entregada a los padres del muchacho y también pedí una copia o el manuscrito original para mí, para poderlo conservar ya que me genera mucho sentimiento.
Para eso es el arte, para reflejar la condición del alma

I wrote a poem dedicated to the deceased, and I read it at the wake... for the first time, I felt that my writing meant something, that for the first time, the poetry I wrote genuinely carried feelings... it was so... human.

I was told that a more formal copy of the poem will be given to the boy's parents, and I also asked for a copy or the original manuscript for myself, so I can keep it, as it evokes a lot of emotion in me. That's what art is for, to reflect the condition of the soul.
