NOW - North Korea test-fires an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan west of Hokkaido.

The missile flew for about 66 minutes and landed in Japan's EEZ. The estimated flight distance is about 900 km and the maximum altitude is about 5,700 km.

The missile appears to have a range of 14,000 km and could reach the continental U.S., says Japan's Defence Minister Hamada.

I see lots of users on Twitter confused by this. This does not read "subscribe to Twitter blue or else lose your account completely." This just reads "you need to disable sms authentication and switch to another 2FA (two factor auth) method. Using Twitter is still free."

Twitter Blue is already a verification method in of itself, meaning these subscribers are proven authentic individuals. Forcing everyone else who isn't a TB subscriber to use another multi-factor authentication (MFA) such as Google Authenticator, Duo, Authy, etc will be a net positive. Expect many bad actors/propaganda bot accounts to be pruned.
