In December of 2017, the DOJ/FBI issued subpoenas for Kash and 2 other HPSCI senior staffers emails and phone records.

Rosenstein threatened to investigate Kash and Nunes during a meeting on Jan 10th 2018 because they kept pushing for records.

Rod later said he was 'joking' when he said that.

Now we learn they had already opened an investigation

The FBI needs to be gutted.

These would have been approved by Rod Rosenstein.

The subpoena against Nunes investigators would likely have been issued under the guise of a leak investigation.

The benefit to the DOJ and FBI would be that this allows all communications, including those with Nunes and other Republicans (including Trump WH), to be swept up.

The investigators turned their resources against those who were exercising their oversight powers. Third world stuff.
