“There are two insanely huge phrases there,” Lupo commented.
“The first is erroneous code. Erroneous code is the first one, but the second one immediately following it is EAC certified. So does the certification mean anything?”
“How do you get past that when you tell us the EAC inspects these machines, the EAC certifies them, and then in the very same sentence you say there is erroneous code that causes this major malfunction,” Lupo asked.
“Like you said earlier, Jeff, this was only caught because somebody was taking a tally on a post-it note.”

“The tactic all across the country is go after the investigators. Don't investigate the anomalies, don't investigate the problems, investigate the investigators, and it's a fear and intimidation tactic and they've done it across the board.
They did it with Tina Peters, they did it with Couy Griffin. They are trying to set examples in every area, a county recorder in Colorado, county commissioner in New Mexico, technical experts and lawyers up in Michigan, at Mar-a-Lago an ex-president.
We are going to set the example here that if you speak up, if you question anything that's contrary to the official government stance, then you are a bad guy, and we are going to come after you.”

It is Constitution Day.
There are so many great parts of that historic document that still stand strong over 200 years later.
When you think about what they did, and how they even wrote the preamble, it is stunning in its simplicity and revolutionary idea. Which is even radical today.
'We the people...'
Not
We the leaders
We the aristocratic land owners
We the rich merchant class
It was inclusive language that stood the test of time.
We the people. Everyone
'In order to form a more perfect union'
Not perfection. Not a utopian idea. More perfect..getting better..
'Establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense , promote the general welfare'
The previous Articles of Confederation had been a mess and caused so many troubles. They needed a way to bring together these 13 separate states, who all wanted to do things their own way, into some kind of working order. They knew if they could unite around commonly agreed principles they would be stronger.
'Secure the blessings of Liberty, for ourselves and our posterity'
They knew if they didn't come together to protect the Liberty that was hard fought for less than ten years earlier, that it would not be there for the future generations of Americans.
'Do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America'
'We the people' ordained it.
We the people laid out how the government was to be formed.
Article one- Congressional Powers. They gave primacy to the representatives from the states that was divided into 2 Bodies. One based on population and one based on states.
Article 2. The Executive branch role laid out. Separate but equal to Legislative.
Article 3. Judiciary. Separate but equal to the other branches.
Article 4. States relations.
How the laws enacted in all the states carried over to the other states. The states needed to come together and work together if we were to make it unto the future.
This article also outlined how the Federal Government guarantees rights, protections and republican form of government to those states. Not a tyrannical one.
Article V. They had the humility to know that they didn't know everything that needed to be done at that time in that document. Article 5 set up how the Constitution could be amended. They set the thresholds high in order for that to happen. But it could be done by We the People.
Article 6- National Supremacy, oaths of office. It set out that the Constitution was the Supreme law of the land for all matters. All leaders, elected and judicial swear an oath to the Constitution. We the people.
Soon afterwards they realized a way to make the Constitution more perfect.. they were concerned individual rights were not listed in that Document. So they came together to enumerate our Bill of Rights.
Those rights not given by government, but by God
The five freedoms
Bearing arms
Quartering soldiers
Search and seizure
Rights of persons to not face double jeopardy
Rights of speedy trial and rights of defendants in trials
Rights in civil trials
Right to not have excessive bail or cruel and unusual punishment
The final two showed humility.
They knew it was not an exhaustive list. They said others not enumerated were ours. And there were many rights delegated to the states.
It was always about We the people. Government closest to us is more powerful in our lives and more agile to make changes.
Today I am thankful for their wisdom. And I pray that we are worthy of the inheritance they gave us.
They put a high value on Liberty.
Do we value it enough to save our country?
We shall see
