This next segue is weird. Why would he ask the question like this?

We don't certify based on popular vote. We certify based on the electoral college.

They are saying we didn't have a peaceful transfer of power, and we are "still experiencing the wound"

This is troubling because the rest of the country doesn't care about J6. They care about inflation and the economy.

We had a transfer of power. This is dangerous propaganda.

She transitions directly into attacking SCOTUS.

They need to deligitimize anyone who disagrees with them in order to hold onto power.

She then outright lies and says the border is secure. Is not asked about the people on the terrorist watch list that have been found crossing over, and causing a threat to our country like we experienced on 9/11.


Not asked about the trafficking and drugs and crime that the open border brings to the country.

She just wants a path to citizenship for the millions who have come over illegally.

Perusing the various statements on 9/11 Remembrance Day that are being made by Leftists who continue to compare J6 to 9/11 and thus MAGA with Al Qaida it gives me pause.

Yes, as I said last night, they want us to fear them.

Fear the power and control that they are exerting across the country.

They want us to respond to the fear in one of two ways.

1. Give up hope that things can change because they are so powerful and thus think that it is not worth it to vote.

2. React to the fear with anger and violence so they can do a further crackdown.

I choose option 3. To fight back with Joy.

Wait, what?


You might ask.

Why joy?

Because it is a biblical principle.

Philippians 4: 4-7 tells us:
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again. Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"

And

Romans 5 tells us

" And we are happy because of the hope we have of sharing God’s glory. We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience. And patience produces character, and character produces hope. And this hope will never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. He gave us his love through the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to us."

They want to take away our hope and joy and love of our fellow Americans.

On today of all days, I refuse to let them have that win. I choose a different path.

I Tim 1:7.

'For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind'

Our spiritual enemy is afraid of the power that the Fruits of the Spirit- 'love, peace and Joy' brings us.

That is why they look for ways to sap our Joy

I choose to focus on the things that bring me joy

My faith. Meditating on the wonderful things God has done for me.

My family. A spirit of thankfulness that we are well, and that I passed on my faith to my kids, because of what was passed down to me. I see such a hope for the future when I speak to my kids and nieces and nephews.

My community. I revel in times spent with friends. Shared lives, memories, laughter and celebrations.

My country. I am thankful that I was born into this country that I love. That I was born for such a time as this to fight for the freedoms to pass them on to my future grandkids.

So I will not have a spirit of fear. Because I love these things, I will continue to meditate on things that empower me and make my mind strong.

I will encourage others to do the same. Because I have the hope that working together we can win this victory.

And we can win it by being happy warriors.

There was a great Bible Study I did a few years ago that helped prepare me for this time. (Isn't it great how God works?)

It is called 'Fight Back with Joy' by Margaret Feinberg.

This is a passage from the book I wanted to share to encourage you today.

'Fighting back with Joy is a powerful spiritual discipline.
Here are some of the truths I'm discovering along the way...

1. When we fight back with Joy, we declare the darkness does not win
2. When we fight back with Joy, we embrace the deepest reality of our identity, which is not weary or beaten down, but beloved and joyful
3. When we fight back with Joy, we are confident God is with us and for us
4. When we fight back with Joy, we do so with the assurance that we're held in the tender arms of the One greater than us.
5. When we fight back with Joy, we set our eyes on an eternal reality that is more tangible than what we're enduring.
6. When we fight back with Joy, we are deeply convinced that the battle has already been won through Christ.'

So what does it look like to me to Fight back with Joy in our current circumstances?

It means focusing on the good that I see and looking for God moments everyday.
It means thinking positive thoughts about what is possible instead of settling for something secondary.
It means showing up and working with my community to bring about victory.
It means showing you ways to engage and bring about victory.
It means sharing the good things we see on the ground.
Sharing our stories to encourage one another to not give up or give in to fear and hopelessness.

What are ways that you can think of to Fight back with Joy?

Today is a somber day for those of us who witnessed the horror of that day and realized what it meant for us and our children's future. Yes, I know, there's more to what happened, much more, than the official narrative. That doesn't mean that today is the day for all that. Today is a day for grieving and somber reflection. Pray for the loved ones who lost their own that day and in the years that have followed. May God give them His Comfort and Peace, Amen.
