I can't help but wonder who the FBI was targeting for leaking here.
We know during that time the HPSCI was holding closed door hearings with all people involved in Spyate.
What did they say behind closed doors under oath?
They didn't see any evidence of collusion.
What was being leaked all over the press?
Smears saying collusion happened. Warnings that it was coming.
But we also know from Lee Smiths book that in May 2017, McCabe tried to block Nunes from a Gang of Eight briefing because he thought he would leak the information.
We also know that in the spring of 2018 Rod Rosenstein threatened to investigate Kash and Nunes team because they would not stop their investigation and oversight.
We also know how quickly Schiff was able to get Nunes communications.
So, my guess? They went after GOP members. Not DNC members.
