This is my written testimony, from District 27, against the magazine capacity bill.

For several years, this bill or a variant has been attempted to be forced through the State Legislature with little facts and only hysteria fueling the support.

This bill is beyond unpopular for it will destroy lives. Lives of women, BIPOC, Ethnic minorities, LGNTQ+, and marginalized communities. As one of the three administrators for the Pink Pistols Seattle | Tacoma Chapter, and a founding member of the Rainier Red Tails, National African American Gun Association, as a disabled woman, I know personally just how dangerous limitations on the Human Right of Self Determination, which Self Defense is critical part of.

I was told via Sen. Patty Kuderer last week that "Gun Rights aren't Women's Rights". She is wrong. Deadly wrong. For without the firearm, the great equalizer against brutal Rape, Domestic Violence, Hate Crime for who someone loves or the religion they practice; women are murdered.

There's no outcry for the victims forced to be defenseless by the lies repeated by the Anti-Human Rights prohibitionists. Lies using the Kellerman study which was exposed using fraudulent methods and practices. In my opinion, the legislators using this study to justify the repugnant actions to deny self defense is grounds for ethics charges, and for those who are lawyers - disbarment.

Every year I have mentioned that the State, law enforcement has zero duty nor obligation to answer a woman's call for help. None. And each time, eyes are averted when this testimony was provided when we were having hearings in person.

It is the uncomfortable truth: this bill, if goes forward will cost lives. This will lead to the direct murder of members of the LGBTQ+ community who, when attacked; is done by multiple assailants.

It is the uncomfortable truth, that this bill will not reduce suicide, which is the greatest number of firearm fatalities; done with a single round.

It is the uncomfortable truth, that the Anti-Human Rights Prohibitionist will cry about the rare mass shootings, the school shootings; all while maliciously ignoring that the schools, the authorities dropped the ball on actions that would have prevented such attacks by getting the individual who committed them mental health treatment or convicted of the crimes ignored by the prosecutors.

For those who claim that we, in the 2A community are ignoring the loss of one life due to a firearms accident or mass shooting? I call out their hypocrisy in the multitude of lives lost, destroyed due to stabbings, beatings, strangulations. Lives lost for they were forced to be defenseless.

The legislator who votes to move this bill out of committee, or on the House floor; shall be voted out of office. This is an election year. We will remember in November which members of the House and Senate who actively voted to strip Human Rights from Washington Residents.
