The reason she was at the school was to promote her children's book.

She has been on a tour around the country to promote the book. It has been a part of her campaign.
I think it was something she was using to present herself to the electorate as safe and warm and fuzzy, not the crazy leftist lady

They realized with the release of that picture that their plan may backfire.

I find it fascinating that they doubled down on masking afterwards.
