-Even if he survives, he will be absent from the Senate. And the Senate doesn't allow remote voting.

-This means Dems now have 49 votes at maximum for confirmation of a Biden SCOTUS nominee (and any legislation).

I feel sorry for Ben, but man, 2022 is really shaping up bad for Democrats.
