This is what we’re up against: people who would change our constitution in any and every way they could to suit their needs.
We need EVERYONE to EMAIL THE SENATE COMMITTEE TODAY and politely but firmly DEMAND they have the courage NOT to exec SB 5217 and SB 5568 out of committee.
These politicians only care about one thing: gettting re-elected.
We need EVERYONE to help ensure that they know that if they pass these bad bills we will do EVERYTHING in our power to elect their replacements.
SB 5217: Banning semi-auto rifles–including your 10/22!
SB 5568: An assault on state preemption, allowing ANY town to create ANY gun law they wish
SB 5078: Eliminating your right to defend yourself by banning magazines > 12 rounds.

We have to make these legislators super uncomfortable with the racist roots of gun laws and the disproportionately large impact on communities of color who’ll bear the brunt of these regressive laws.

Like Dana said, Only slave and plantation owners advocate for gun control.

You cant reason with people this stupid & brainwashed. You can’t. Facts don’t matter to them, and they are not smart enough or capable of critical thinking to figure it out themselves.
People like this, sadly, are a lost cause.
We aren’t trying to win over dregs like this: our job is to speak to ordinary people who live in reality & can be reached.
And we are making enormous inroads with them- Virginia is proof.
People like ‘Kiki’ are about 15% of America: the rest of Americans can be reached. Find common ground: our kids, gas prices, jobs, freedom, safety, food security, economic success of their families.

I’m sure it will be televised, too. It’s just like Frank and I said on the Dark to Light podcast - Ray Epps, a man caught on video VOCIFEROUSLY prodding people to storm the capitol, is now being held up as some sort of persecuted victim. It reminds me of Alexander Vindman.
It seriously stinks. This man did triple what some of the other people being prosecuted did and he is being raised up as some sort of hero. Watch carefully. They think you are stupid.
