My husband is a railroad engineer, contracted by the federal railroad Association, at his terminal unfortunately there are not a whole lot standing up against it :( We’ll be saying goodbye to his retirement (they don’t pay into SS but a railroad retirement board) and our family’s only income. We’re heading for some rough times but going to have to figure it out.

The RR is so fucked up - his portion that he’s paid in will get forwarded to social security, but everything that the company has matched will be wiped and he’ll lose that. Just like if/when he’s fired he won’t be able to collect unemployment. It’s really all bullshit.
