Re: one of today's posts in The Library - this was my 'textbook' for the entire year of American History, senior year in high school. BURNED INTO MY MEMORY. Three years later (junior year, college): lived & studied in Luxembourg (cf Gen Patton buried there) - flip-side of same history taught by Luxembourger-prof. Plus, personal stories shared by my "Lux mom" of WWII Nazi occupation of Luxembourg - her dad & brother with all the men, corralled in town square with razor-wire fencing. She & her mom and the rest of women visiting daily, taking food ... Heartwrenching💦 That generation never forgot the day the Americans arrived ... That picture of that book took me instantly back in time. Had to share. It's Life&DeathVITAL to learn, to know, to remember that history
