Lawyer defending 17 alleged Capitol breachers goes missing
John Pierce, the attorney defending 17 clients charged with storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, has gone missing. He missed an Aug. 24 court hearing for one of his clients, and no one has seen him since.
On Wednesday, Pierce's associate told a judge the defense attorney had contracted COVID-19 and was in the hospital on a ventilator. The associate also allegedly told a prosecutor Pierce had been in a car accident.
Later on, a different associate told a reporter that Pierce was in the hospital being treated for dehydration and exhaustion.
This week, the Justice Department got involved, informing several judges that no one had heard from Pierce in a week and that "multiple" phone lines for his law firm seem to have been disconnected.

The Virginia Supreme Court ruled to reinstate a Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) gym teacher, affirming a lower courtโs ruling that the school boardโs removal of the teacher was โlikely unconstitutional,โ according to an Alliance Defending Freedom press release and court documents.
Leesburg Elementary School physical education teacher Tanner Cross was suspended for voicing opposition to the districtโs gender policy 8040 that โrequires all faculty and students, regardless of their beliefs about biological sex and gender, to use the pronouns that students demand regardless of their biological sex,โ according to the press release. Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is representing Cross in court.

Abbey Gate is the gate at the Kabul Airport the taleban attacked and blew up a massive bomb and murdered 13 of our Military and wounded dozens of others (and killed over a hundred civilians). If SECDEF Austin had the intel 24 hours prior, we now need to know why our Marines guarding that gate didnโt take appropriate security measures to protect themselves. This is totally outrageous and unacceptable.
