He left Kyle in jail for three months not because he was 'safer' there, but because he was a more sympathetic figure for the fundraising tour he and Pierce went on around the country as they raised donations. Most of which never got to the Rittenhouse family. And for 7 months when the Rittenhouses asked where most of that donated went and they ask for him to open the books and show them he tells them to eff off.
