Few know the story of the SS 12th Panzer Division. The 12th SS Panzer (armored) Division was comprised of over 18,000 men- the enlisted soldiers were all young men drawn directly from the Hitler Youth. Nearly the entire division sacrificed itself in Normandy trying to repell the D-Day landings, at the battle of Caen.
