MQ-4 Triton Disappears over Persian Gulf after Squawking Comms Link Loss
The MQ-4 Triton was flying a patrol mission over the Persian Gulf, before signaling through the transponder a loss of the communication link with the pilot and initiating a descent. Before disappearing, the squawk switched to 7700, which is the code for a general emergency.
