If your neighborhood is impacted or could be impacted by floods, TELL YOUR NEIGHBORS. Not everyone is doing the research. Help your neighbors out. Let them know what’s happening.

If you drive and you encounter road closed signs, don’t drive around them. This is such an evolving event that some cities and counties may not be able to get signs up fast enough so if you see high water in a road, steer clear. A flooded road may have hidden dangers such as washed out roadbeds or underwater obstructions.

Montana Disaster and Emergency Services is warning of increased flooding in Lincoln County that has affected several key bridges and led to closures on Hwy 2 between Libby and Kalispell as well as Hwy 56 between Libby and Noxon due to water across the roads.

The Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office is requesting ONLY necessary travel.
We have troopers working to help assist with efforts.
