Today, the Trump administration terminated 30 prosecutors involved in bringing federal J6 cases.
Just as much as the prosecution of Donald Trump, the four-year, nationwide, unprecedented manhunt for people who just milled around the Capitol (or simply stood on its steps) alienated half of America from the Department of Justice. It wasn't long before it clearly became an act of prolonged political revenge, intended to torment its victims.
This is an important step toward rebuilding long-term trust in America's federal prosecutors.
