Its also interesting Iran chose to target Erbil, capital of kurdish iraq, & Al Asad, in Al Anbar province, a sunni stronghold. This was equally aimed at violating iraqi sovereignty & killing Iraqis. Its about trying to keep control of Iraq. Itll be interesting to see how the Iraqi govt responds to this.

Iran only hit Anbar (Sunni) and Erbil (Kurdish). This was a face-saving retaliation that specifically did not target Americans, as Khamenei knew that the American response would have been devastating. Trump's red line is the death of Americans. So far, no American deaths. As a result, there will be no American response (my prediction).
