The President isnt bluffing.
The great Prussian General and renowned military strategist Carl Von Clausewitz wrote in his classic treatise ‘On War’ that the country most likely to win in a conflict is the one that recognized the concept of Total War-

That ‘proportionate’ responses only serve to PROLONG and DELAY the end of conflict because they fail to destroy the enemy’s *willpower* and *capability* to pursue and make war.

The idea/concept of Total War is that you must RESPOND to an attack so brutally, so harshly, so overwhelmingly that your enemy either loses his will to continue, or that you inflict so much damage to his ABILITY to CONTINUE to make war to the extent he cannot continue even if he has the will to keep fighting. An example of this is Truman’s will to continue to use Nuclear weapons against Japan until they gave in or could no longer fight.

Another example of this is hunting Osama Bin Laden & Al Qaeda leadership to the ends of the earth, forever. Yet another is the endless pursuit of Al-Baghdadi. And Imad Fayez Mugniyeh.

The Iranian regime has a blind spot to this b/c they’ve enjoyed relative immunity fr our wrath in spite of 40 YEARS & THOUSANDS of American victims.

The targeting & killing of Qasem Soleimani signals the American govt has revoked Iranian immunity.

Im going to explain in detail what that means.

Soleimani was the successor to the most murderous and brutal terrorist that ever lived, Hezbollah #2 Imad Fayez Mugniyeh.

Mugniyeh met his end when a c-4 charge in the headrest of his mercedes SUV exploded decapitating him.

Soleimani & his comrades believed that he was immune because he was an officer in the Iranian govt paramilitary force. An official posting. Imagine if the US Govt hired someone like Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi to kill Iranian civilians & soldiers. They’d be justified in killing him.

The iranians have watched for 4 decades starting w/ the take over & seizing of hostages of the US Embassy in Tehran. We never, ever responded, even proportionally.

40 years of seeing America too afraid to fight back or even defend herself from repeated Iranian attacks.

Then the game changed. The most important figure in iranian regime foreign policy & natsec matters was executed with an anti tank missile by the people he was trying to murder

The United States has awoken. The Iranian regime has gone too far. The President of the United States has warned the Iranian regime *repeatedly* for 3 years not to kill any more Americans or there would be extreme consequences.

The 40 years of inaction convinced the Iranians he wasnt serious.

The execution of Qasem Soleimani shattered that belief.

Likely tonight or tomorrow the Iranians will begin attempting to retaliate. What they don’t understand is that the same Total War philosophy now applies to Iran. The 40 years of immunity vanished the moment that katyusha rocket killed a US contractor.
