True Story.
One day I was on a long coach trip sitting at the back of the coach, about 5 rows from the rear.

And I started to find it harder to breath. I looked around me and noticed everyone else in the back of the coach was falling asleep as the oxygen in the coach was running out and being replaced with carbon dioxide. None of the windows on the coach opened.

I had to get up, walk to the front of the coach and ask the driver to turn the airflow on .. to which he replied "The people don't want me to turn the air-conditioning on as it's too cold"

I had to explain to the driver that heat wasn't the problem it was lack of oxygen towards the back of the coach.

Eventually he turned on the air-flow.
I returned to my seat and noticed instantly everyone in the back of the coach started to wake up as the oxygen filled their lungs.

Moral of this story: Sometimes all it takes is ONE person to notice what's going on, take action and wake up the masses.
