This was a major problem when I was a teacher. In public, we had to speak vaguely why we implemented certain measures to counteract cheating, but in private meetings we all said it was overwhelmingly the Chinese that were cheating. We didn’t have too many Subcontinentals then, but other non-Whites had no where near the level of cheating the Chinese had.
One of our strongest voices against them was a teacher of Chinese heritage (born and raised in Canada) who taught in China for a couple of years. She said they were horrible to deal with and the parents were even worse, as they’d make your life a living hell if you didn’t accommodate everything for their child and virtually guarantee a very high grade on everything; regardless whether it was warranted.
