Numerous dating apps have removed race/ethnicity filters, largely in response to BLM hysteria circa 2020, and, in one case, an app was forced by the Dutch government to modify its "racist" algorithm.
Nevertheless, a new 2026 study found that the increased use of dating apps increases the percentage of same-race couples, while decreasing assortative mating based on education and employment status.
