Pluralis, a media investment company controlled by an arm of US-based Soros Fund Management, has relinquished shares it recently bought when taking control of Poland’s daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita to Hungarian business mogul Zoltan Varga’s Central Group, a stock exchange communique confirms.

Varga’s firm has bought 13.43% of the firm’s shares, giving him a 20.38% holding in Gremi Media, meaning the Soros-controlled firm does not have an overall majority shareholding in the outlet,

However, it remains the largest shareholder with just over 36% of shares.

In yet another display of terrifying authoritarianism in a Baltic state, police wrestled a man to the ground when he refused to remove the symbol from his car.

Residents of Kohtla-Järve managed to catch the incident on video, showing two police officers pulling the driver out of the car, laying him on the pavement and handcuffing him.

“The police discovered that a car with a St. George ribbon attached to the rear-view mirror was parked on Keskallee Street. They spoke with the owner and asked him to voluntarily remove the symbol. The man refused and tried to start the car to drive away from the police," Jõhvi police department said in a comment.
