🇫🇷 Third French Soldier Killed In Iraq

Sergeant Nicolas Mazier became the third statistic in two weeks after ISIS fighters ambushed him during a reconnaissance mission, the Ministry of Armed Forces reports.

The two other deaths were officially noted as accidents. Sergeant Baptiste Gaucho was in a car accident, while Warrant Officer Nicolas Latourte lost his life during training.

The deaths come as French and Iraqi forces continue Operation Chammal in the Iraqi-Syrian zone, in which 600 soldiers are involved in training and conducting air support for the US-led international coalition Operation Inherent Resolve.
