🇩🇪Antisemitic Row Deepens - More Allegations Against Bavarian Deputy PM

An ex-classmate of Hubert Aiwanger claims the that lawmaker showed the Hitler salute when entering the classroom when at school, imitated Hitler's speeches and "definitely" told jokes about Jews,

Why? So he could get attention, the classmate claims, but many peers dismissed as a "nutcase," according to ARD.

The allegations come after Aiwanger comes under fire for allegedly being in possession of an anti-semitic leaflet, which his brother now claims to have written.

The incident comes with the context that, in Germany, it is illegal to display pro-Nazi sentiments in the forms of material and salutes.

🇷🇺🇺🇸Call To Overthrow Putin Left Biden Feeling Sorry For Himself - Report

When addressing the crowd during his Warsaw visit, the US president prompted a hurried clarification from the White House after saying “for God’s sake, this man [Putin] cannot remain in power.”

While “he knew that he had erred, but then resented his aides for creating the impression that they had cleaned up his mess," The Last Politician book, out Tuesday, reports.

“Rather than owning his failure, he fumed to his friends about how he was treated like a toddler. ‘Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?’” he reportedly said.

🇩🇪🤡 ‘Russian Disinfo’ On Telegram Worries Scholz’s Beleaguered Government

The Chancellor’s plummeting ratings are in part down to a “complex network” of Russian “state-owned or state-controlled” players primarily using Telegram to influence public opinion.

Government agencies are now linking up to identify Russian “narratives” about Germany and the Ukraine conflict to counter them, the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger writes.

“Russian agencies are spreading a consistently high level of disinformation. Over the past 12 months, there has been no decrease in the level of Russian disinformation,” a spokesperson said.

Nothing to do with spending ordinary Germans’ hard-earned cash on war, a faltering economy that is the worst performing in Europe, or a scandal-ridden government?

😈🟢 Green Investments Dying? Blackrock And Vanguard Get Cold Feet

Both Vanguard and Blackrock are in retreat as they cut support for environmental, social and governance proposals as they fear the public is growing tired of the constant overreach, the FT reports.

Only 2% of proposals were taken up in the 2023 proxy season, down from 12% in 2022.

Blackrock also only voted in favour of 7% of green proposals in the 12 months to June, compared to roughly 50% in 2021.

🇲🇩 Moldovan Gov Offended By Online Mockery

The Moldovan carabinieri, a part of the military, was subject to a tirade of mockery by users who laughed at their "march of the gladiators" performance and joked about the...health status of participants.

The government was so deeply upset that it felt compelled to blast the 'trolling' public:

"The march of the gladiators is not a circus performance. It is done by European military bands on the most famous stages. The musicians showed that they are in good physical shape," the department said in response to ironic comments on social networks.

🇪🇺💲Sanction Scam: EU Buys MORE Russian Gas Than At Start Of Conflict

Despite all the talk of 'punishing Russia' and making nations' citizens bear the brunt of costs for them, European leaders actually hand over more cash to Moscow for gas than in 2021, figures reveal.

The EU bought 39.5% more LNG in 2023 than in 2021, and even increased its purchases from 2022 - it bought 21.6 m cubic metres between January and July of 2023, an ncrease compared to the same period in 2022, when imports totalled 21.3 m.

Who are the biggest con artists? Amongst Russia's top 5 major clients sit Spain (7.5 mcm), Belgium (7.1 mcm) and France (4.5 mcm).

So the question remains - if our leaders aren't abiding by sanctions, why should citizens?
