The afternoon was supposed to be just a brief café visit, a simple way to treat Velthrone’s Irene and Soigne’s Leeseo, my friend’s niece. Nothing elaborate, just a light plan to pass the time. Yet somewhere between placing our orders and sharing quiet laughs, it became something far more comforting than expected.

We crowded the table with more than we planned golden croissants, creamy cheesecake, and soft pain au chocolat, all paired with matcha lattes and fresh coffee. Velthrone's Irene carried that calm, motherly presence, effortlessly grounding everything, while Soigne's Leeseo kept the mood alive with her endless, carefree stories. The conversation flowed easily, like we had all the time in the world.

Later on, we stepped into a nearby photobooth, thinking it would only take a moment. It didn’t. It turned into a string of playful shots random poses, soft laughter, and candid smiles caught between flashes. It wasn’t anything grand, but somehow it felt whole. The kind of day that stays with you, even without trying.
