And yes, with UAE/Saudi Arabia/Qatar stopping oil production, we are quickly entering an energy crisis that will have DRASTIC effects on food availability and pricing.

Dubai has only 10 days of fresh food remaining, according to reports.

As I posted yesterday, many Middle East countries import the vast majority of their food supply — and are now unable to do so. When people can't eat, things get hairy quickly — remember the Arab Spring was caused by bread prices...

This is a very serious situation with global consequences.

"Stefan Paul, CEO of global logistics giant Kuehne + Nagel, told Swiss broadcaster SRF on Thursday that the estimate is based on supply chain data monitored by his company."
