Peer to peer means from one person to another without intermediaries.
With crypto it has to go through the distributed but centralized network in order to exchange.
At best you can hand a flash drive to someone, but that implies a flash drive, the software, electricity, and other systems are intermediaries as well as anything involved with the acquisition and liquidation.
Bitcoin is far less peer to peer than the dollar.
Every major marketing angle and buzz word around bitcoin is the exact opposite from what it really is.
For example if I want to send you bitcoin, it doesn't go from my phone directly to your phone, it has to go through the system even if we are standing right next to eachother.
