They say “Never meet your heroes”... But that saying always bugged the heck outta me - because I’ve always felt if you’re a “celebrity” of any caliber and you’re LUCKY enough to have some fame and influence - then be grateful for the position you’re in and be KIND and GOOD to people — ESPECIALLY OUR KIDS. Sure I’ve met some a#%holes as an adult, who I was so excited to finally meet and wound up being super disappointed- but that further cemented how I feel about fame. When I was a little boy, I finally met one of my heroes - Muhammad Ali 🐐- he was so sweet and kind to me. Made a MASSIVE POSITIVE impression on me that I never forgot. Had to make sure our last $5 Dollar Friday was a big one y’all 💵 🪣 😁 On every movie I film - we always have $5 Dollar Friday, where the crew puts in $5 bucks and writes their name on a ticket that will go into a bucket. At the end of night, I’ll pull the names and those folks will get the cash. And I always double the amount of the final pot 💰🥃😉 This last Friday was our last day of production on these sound stages - so I wanted to make it special. I doubled the pot twice, and as a final surprise, added another $50,000 🤪 At the end of the day, our CREWS are the backbone of Hollywood and these hard working, insanely talented guys and gals are my family. I’d do anything for them. So this is just my small way of saying THANK YOU 🫱🏾🫲🏼❤️ Man this kinda joy makes me so happy.
