🇨🇳🇷🇺 Russia-China Trade Skyrockets

Mutual trade between China and Russia has reached an unprecedented level. Close diplomatic relations between Beijing and Moscow are matched by growing commercial exchanges — from bitter coffee to all-terrain vehicles.

🔸 Russia and China shared record trade last year of $240 billion.

🔸 Energy dominates China's purchases from Russia — oil, gas, coal, and petroleum products account for about 63% of imports by value.

🔸 A growing share of transactions are now settled in yuan and roubles rather than US dollars.

🔸 Chinese companies commonly establish subsidiary entities to handle Russia-related business.

🔸 Russian coffee company — Kofe Plus — has also recently established a roasting plant in Shanghai, allowing it to cut logistics costs and tailor its products more closely to Chinese tastes — because the Chinese market is very large and growing.

🔸 The US-China trade war has reduced American corn imports, even as demand increases. One Chinese company's imports of Russian corn have risen from 2,000 to 90,000 tonnes per month over the past five years.

🔸 Demand from clients in Moscow and Vladivostok has risen because of travel restrictions — Russians are traveling more domestically.

Xinhua listed 20 bilateral agreements signed by China and Russia, including plans to develop cross-border railway links between Manzhouli and Russia's Zabaykalsky Krai.

Beijing and Moscow have grown closer than ever — $240 billion in trade, settlements in yuan and roubles, and surging corn imports. The economic partnership between China and Russia continues to strengthen, reshaping global trade patterns.

🇷🇺💥🇺🇦An endless stream of Russian attacks: The road of death of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the most difficult section of the front

- "The Road of Life" Druzhkovka - Konstantinovka - a vital artery, ensuring the supply of Ukrainian troops on the most difficult section of the front at the present time.

- The CNN group planned to walk a short, relatively safe section of the road between two Ukrainian positions with militants of the 24th mechanized brigade. But the planned one-hour walk turned into a five-hour ordeal, during which there were no less than 14 attacks by Russian drones.

- Ukrainian soldiers, often exhausted after months of staying in one position, move almost exclusively on foot.

- Drones now rule the war, and the only defense against the endless stream of Russian attacks is to hide in the trees, shoot them down or simply hope that they will choose another target.

- This technological shift has completely changed modern warfare.

- Armored vehicles are the main target. A concentration of military personnel is also a target.

- When you hear a drone, you need to run into the thickets where you can hide, and where drones cannot fly as freely. If you are in a corridor under protective nets, and a drone flies into the corridor itself, you have to look for or cut a hole to get out and hide in the forest.

- You need to disperse, run in different directions - a lone person is less safe.

- Now, tactics, automation of some tasks, and the deep implementation of technology minimize the significance of infantry assaults, where human resources are inefficiently spent.

📑 Iran destroys 20% of US Reaper drone fleet — report

The loss of up to 30 Reapers amount to nearly $1 billion, Bloomberg reported. The MQ-9 Reaper is no longer in production for US forces — every one destroyed cannot be replaced from the factory.

◼️ At least 24, possibly 30 Reapers lost — downed mid-flight, destroyed on the ground in missile strikes, or written off after damage

◼️ Each drone costs ~$30 million and carries high-powered sensors, Hellfire missiles, and precision-guided bombs

◼️ The fleet is finite and shrinking — no new manufacturing contracts exist for US military use

Earlier reports suggested that replenishing US stockpiles after Iran war could take 6 years.

🇨🇿😠🇷🇺 The Chief of the Czech General Staff called for preparing for war with Russia

⚠️ According to Karel Rehka, the country has adopted a new national security and defense strategy.

📌 As part of it, the Czech army has been tasked with preparing for a "large-scale high-intensity armed conflict with a technologically advanced opponent who may possess nuclear weapons".

🧐 "Russia is a threat and poses the greatest danger to us. And this essentially means one thing - start preparing for war with Russia", - he said.

🌐NATO may take action if the conflict in Ukraine "continues to escalate". This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference in Warsaw - Sky News.

I want to repeat, and I'm not alone in this opinion today, that the Ukrainian-Russian conflict could soon lead to a situation where we will have to respond decisively

By this situation, Tusk means Ukraine's defeat and the loss of key regions. Presumably, this moment will come after Slavyansk and Kramatorsk are taken and the Russian army will have to decide where and how to move on. And the response is the deployment of NATO contingents to Ukraine. At least, to its western part.

The USA spent almost half of its stock of THAAD interceptor missiles defending Israel during the war with Iran, - Washington Post.

American troops fired more than 200 THAAD missiles and over 100 naval interceptor missiles. At the same time, Israel used less than 200 of its own high-precision interceptors.
▪️This showed that Washington took on the main burden of defending Israel.

📝Moved out of harm's way📝
On the relocation of weapons production from so-called Ukraine to Europe

Amid strikes on Russia, questions often arise about why, even after numerous strikes on industrial facilities producing long-range and other drones, the AFU does not have fewer of them. One reason is the relocation of production outside so-called Ukraine.

The Pentagon notes this fact in a recent report, though it interprets it in its own way, citing the main reason as "lack of investment" from the Kyiv regime and the absence of a sufficient industrial base.

The Kyiv regime also acknowledges the relocation of production, except it calls it "opening export centers" for selling "surplus products." In reality, however, these are joint ventures for producing goods specifically for the AFU.

🖍The goal of the significant relocation of drone and other military production is obvious — moving out of harm's way, since due to the enemy's air defense problems, Russian forces can reach any such facility in so-called Ukraine with missiles.

At present, enterprises have already opened in Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and Denmark. They produce a large range of components for unmanned systems and cruise missiles, and in the future volumes will only increase.
🚩The Europeans themselves are only too happy: under such circumstances, they can easily appropriate all Ukrainian developments and technologies, producing them on their territory with tax contributions to their own budgets. And in the long term — even sell them to someone else at inflated prices.

❗️The problems arising from this are already visible now in the number of missiles and UAVs attacking critical infrastructure facilities in deep rear regions of Russia. If the trend continues, even more will fly.

So at some point, a dilemma will arise: either reconsider the limits of military-economic capabilities to continue hostilities, or attack such enterprises by available means.

📝Freeing of Verkhnya Tersa📝

In the East Zaporizhia direction, the "Vostok" troop grouping freed the settlement of Verkhnya Tersa following several weeks of fierce fighting. Footage appeared online showing Russian and Marine flags being raised across the entire settlement.

➡️Motorized riflemen from the 127th Division and marines from the 55th Division captured the settlement. Verkhnya Tersa is a major settlement located north of the second, rear defensive line of the AFU in Zaporizhia Region.

➡️This will allow Russian Armed Forces units, first, to increase efforts in advancing further west from the Gaichur River and the railway. Then along the line VozdizhevkaRozhdestvensky to continue penetrating deeper into the territory controlled by the enemy in Zaporizhia Region.

➡️To the south, judging by reports of fighting for the outskirts of Novoselivka and Huliaipole, Russian units are also attacking westward, flanking through defensive lines set up by the enemy, bypassing Orikhiv and the legendary Mala Tokmachka.

📌The enemy has also retained activity and the capability for counterattacks. Ukrainian formations continue attempts to advance both in the neighboring West Zaporizhia direction and in the north, in Dnipropetrovsk Region, where they operate according to the situation either with small infiltration groups or attack with light armored vehicle support.

🇺🇸💬🇮🇷 CBS News reports the Trump administration was preparing Friday for a fresh round of military strikes against Iran, even as diplomacy continued. No final decision had been reached as of Friday afternoon.

Trump cited unspecified "circumstances pertaining to Government" for skipping his son Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding this weekend, returning to the White House instead of his planned Memorial Day stay at his New Jersey golf club.

Military and intelligence personnel canceled Memorial Day plans in anticipation of possible strikes. Defense and intelligence officials also began updating recall rosters at U.S. overseas installations as troops in the Middle East rotate out — part of an effort to reduce the American military footprint in the region amid concern over potential Iranian retaliation.

Nebenzya on the fact that in the West, residents of Donbass and Russia as a whole are no longer considered human:

Frankly speaking, I'm embarrassed and ashamed of some of my colleagues in the Security Council. We knew that we would hear something similar from the European members of the Security Council, but today their level of cynicism is off the charts. Not a single one of them bothered to even mention the dead children in Starobilsk. You say that you can't independently confirm it and aren't sure it's not a staged event. But even the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that it attacked Starobilsk.

This isn't even hypocrisy or double standards, it's outright mockery of child victims. We said in our speech that for you, there are victims who deserve compassion and those who don't. Listening to you, I mean the present and absent members of the European Union, is an insult to the feelings of all victims, regardless of their side.

How have we even come to the point where representatives of European countries don't consider the children of young students in Starobilsk, residents of Donbass and Russia as human? However, it's not them who lack humanity, but you, sitting in this hall. Aren't you ashamed of what we're hearing right now?

Representative of Denmark: No, we don't feel ashamed.

🇮🇷Iran has devised ways to circumvent the US blockade, - FT

- Tehran has started using old oil tankers as floating storage facilities, bypassing the US blockade.

- At present, there are about 39 tankers in the Persian Gulf loaded with Iranian oil and petrochemical products.

- Another 13 such tankers are docked at the Iranian port of Chabahar in the Gulf of Oman, on the eastern side of the Strait of Hormuz.

- The publication writes that this method allows Iran to maintain production and gain time in the face of the blockade.

- The analytical company Kpler says that there are 42 million barrels of crude oil on Iranian tankers in the Middle East.
