Allah's Name: ู†
Al-Muโ€™min (The Giver of Belief (Security))

โžก๏ธ Al-Mu'min is the One Who gives credence to His messengers and their followers. He gives testimony to their truthfulness and supports them through signs and evidence.

โžก๏ธ He gives security to people from injustice on the Day of Judgement, as He is the Most-Just. He also secures the believers from His punishment and He secures them from the panic on the Day of Judgment, as Allah says;

"Whoever comes (on judgement day) with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe" [An-Naml: 89]

โžก๏ธ This noble name occurs only once in the Qurโ€™an, in Allah's saying:

"He is Allah, there is no god except Him. He is the King, the Most Holy, the Giver of Peace, the Giver of Belief (Security), the Guardian over all" [Hashr: 23]

๐Ÿ’Ž Pondering the meanings of this noble name instills such tranquility within a believerโ€™s heart. Indeed, Allah, the Giver of Belief and Security, is the Best One Who promised goodness and the Most Truthful One Who kept and shall always keep His promise.

๐Ÿ’Ž A believer will not attain security in this world or in the Hereafter except through the belief in the Giver of Belief and following His Shariah and the path of His Prophet (๏ทบ) as Allah says that which means: "They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice โ€“ those will have security, and they are rightly guided." [Al-An'am: 82]

๐Ÿ’Ž If you want Allah, the Giver of Belief (Security) to keep His promise for you in this world and in the Hereafter, be a true believer and heed the statement of the Prophet ๏ทบ:
โ€œA believer is the one from whom peopleโ€™s lives and wealth are safe.โ€ [Al-Tirmidhi]. Do not expect security from Allah when you break His boundaries, rather uphold your responsibility and know that Allah is the Giver of Security.

Allah's Name: ู‡ูŠู…ู†
Muhaymin (The All-Controller)

โžก๏ธ Al-Muhaymin is the One Who sustains and preserves His creation, watches over them and encompasses them.

โžก๏ธ This excellent name is mentioned in the Quran in Allah's saying:

"He is Allah, there is no god except Him. He is the King, the Most Holy, the Giver of Peace, the Giver of Belief (Security), the Supreme Controller..." [Al-Hashr: 23]

๐Ÿ’Ž Dear sister, always remember that Allah Almighty constantly watches over you. So, if you are engaged in a good act, do it well, and if you are about to engage in an evil one, turn away and desist. If it happens that you err, show regret and seek forgiveness.

๐Ÿ’Ž Knowing the meaning of Allahโ€™s name Al-Muhaymin instills a sense of reverence for His Greatness, for He is Ever-Watchful over His creation and their deeds and He is the Guardian over every soul in this existence.

๐Ÿ’Ž The Qurโ€™an is described as a guardian (muhaymin) in a verse in Sลซrat Al-Mฤโ€™idah:

"And We have revealed to you the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a guardian over it" [Al-Mฤโ€™idah: 48]

๐Ÿ’ŽTherefore, the Qurโ€™an is a guardian and judge over the previous scriptures, and it is the best book revealed by Allah Almighty. This increases our love for this book, our joy because of it, and our action according to it with all certitude and assurance.

Allah's Name: ุงู„ูƒุจูŠุฑ
Al-Kabeer (The Great)

โžก๏ธ Allah is the Great in His Self, His attributes, and His actions. Nothing is greater than Him. Rather, all things are small next to His Majesty.

โžก๏ธ This noble name occurs 6 times in the Qurโ€™an. One example is:

"[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Great, the Exalted" [Al-Raโ€˜d: 9]

๐Ÿ’Ž Dear sister, be sure that your exaltation of Allah is greater than your exaltation for any great human being for He is Greater than all things, Greater in His Self, attributes, actions, status, might, and majesty.

๐Ÿ’Ž Allah commands us to exalt Him, knowing this greatness. He says that which means: "And say, โ€œAll praise is due to Allah Who has neither taken to Himself a son, nor has He any partner in His dominion, nor does He need anyone, out of weakness, to protect Him.โ€ So exalt Him in a manner worthy of His exaltation." [Al-Isrฤโ€™: 111]

๐Ÿ’Ž In light of this noble name and attribute of our Lord, we were commanded to say Takbฤซr in many areas of worship, for example:
โžก๏ธ when we commence the prayer and when we move from one position to another in it
     โžก๏ธ during the Adhฤn
โžก๏ธ during the Tawฤf, Saโ€˜i, the throwing of pebbles at Hajj

๐Ÿ’Ž When you say Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Most Great), remember that Allah is Greater with His Self than any other self. He is Greater with His safety and relief than any affliction. He is Greater with His forgiveness than any sin. He is Greater with His cure than any illness. He is Greater with His power than any enemy. Allah is the Most Great, and all praise is due to Him.

Allah's Names:
Al-Awwal - Al-Aakhir
(The First - The Last)

โžก๏ธ Allah's name Al-Awwal (The First) tells us that He is the One before Whom there was nothing. All creatures came into existence by His creating. As for Him, there is no beginning for His existence.

โžก๏ธ Allah's name Al-Aakhir tells us that He is the One after Whom there is nothing. He is the Ever-Lasting and everything on earth will perish and ultimately return to Him. There is no end to His existence, subhanah.

โžก๏ธ These noble names occur in the verse that says:

"He is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden and He is All-Knowing of everything" [Al-Hadฤซd: 3]

โžก๏ธ They are also mentioned in the Prophetโ€™s Sunnah in a Hadฤซth reported by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding a supplication to be said before sleep, โ€œO Allah, You are the First and there is nothing before You. You are the Last and there is nothing after You...โ€

๐Ÿ’Ž Dear sister, your glorification and love for Allah Almighty will grow so much when you know that He had always been and nothing existed before Him, and there is no beginning for His existence. That is the attribute of the True God.

๐Ÿ’Ž Know that all things apart from Allah Almighty were non-existent and He bestowed upon them the favor of bringing them into existence in addition to preparing them and providing them with sustenance and all the creation is doomed to end and perish. All praise is due to Him in this Life and in the Hereafter.

๐Ÿ’Ž Your servitude to Allah, the First, means that you should worship the Almighty Initiator. This gives you a sense of tranquility and trust in His promise. And your servitude to Allah, the Last, means that you worship the Ever-Lasting God Who will not die or perish while everything else will come to an end and perish. So, let your heart be attached to Him and let your limbs pursue the proper means to reach your goals.

Allah's Name:
Al-'Afoow (The Pardoner)

โžก๏ธ Al-'Afoow is the One Who erases and pardons sins and does not punish the perpetrator, though he deserves the punishment.

โžก๏ธ This noble name occurs 5 times in the Qurโ€™an. For example:

"If you display a charitable [deed] or conceal it, or pardon an odious deed, then surely Allah has been Ever Pardoning, Most Competent" [Al-Nis

๐Ÿ’Ž Dear sister, when you see how Allah Almighty pardons His servants and shows clemency towards them, your love for Him and your hope for His rewards increases. Indeed when a person knows the great clemency of Allah Almighty, no despair can remain in his heart.

๐Ÿ’Ž Whoever sincerely seeks the clemency of Allah Almighty, deserves to be pardoned by Him especially if he accompanies that with regret over his past sins and real resolve to follow the right path.

๐Ÿ’Ž One of the best means whereby you can attain the pardon of Allah is to be clement yourself towards His servants. The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, โ€œAllah increases the honor of him who pardons.โ€ [Muslim]. Also, Allah Almighty says, "And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah." [Al-Shลซra: 40]

๐Ÿ’Ž There are cases when the mistake is serious, and the person at the receiving end finds it difficult to pardon given the gravity of the wrongdoing. In such situation, he should remember his Lord and how He loves and pardons those who are clement and the generous reward He has prepared for them. As a result, his fury and desire for revenge abates and his anguish turns into pleasure and peace.

๐Ÿ’Ž An example for us is Prophet Yลซsufโ€™s conduct towards his brothers despite all what they did to him. He said without hesitation, he said to them: "No blame lies with you today. May Allah forgive you. He is the Most Merciful" [Yusuf: 92]

Allah's Names:
Al-โ€˜Alee - Al-Aโ€˜la - Al-Mutaโ€™al
(The High - The Most High - The Exalted)

โžก๏ธ Allah is the High One in His Self, His power and status, and the Exalted One, He is above His throne above the seven heavens, nothing is above Him and everything falls under His power and authority.

โžก๏ธ His name โ€˜the Highโ€™ occurs 8 times in the Qurโ€™an. For example:

"His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth and the preservation of both of them tires Him not, and He is the High, the Magnificent" [Al- Baqarah: 255]

โžก๏ธ The name โ€˜the Most Highโ€™ occurs in the verse that says:

"Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Sลซrat Al-Aโ€˜la: 1]

โžก๏ธ As for the name โ€˜the Exaltedโ€™, it occurs once in the Qurโ€™an this verse:

"[He is] the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Great, the Exalted' [Al-Raโ€˜d: 9]

๐Ÿ’Ž Allah Almighty is worthy of being exalted; whereas it is only appropriate for created beings to submit to their Lord, accept His Shariah and be humble before His creation.

๐Ÿ’Ž Always remember that however high you become, Allah is Higher and has greater power over you. So, let not your transient and limited highness drive you to oppress others, for tyrants and oppressors get nothing from Allah Almighty but humiliation and disappointment.

๐Ÿ’ŽIt is fitting to note here the meaning of this verse:

"For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the evil attributes, whereas for Allah is the highest attributes. He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise." [Al-Nahl: 60]

โžก๏ธ It is Allah Almighty Who possesses the best and most perfect attributes from every aspect. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, on the other hand, possess evil attributes disbelief polytheism and ignorance.
