Allah's Name: ุงูุบูู
Al-Ghani (The Self-Sufficient)
โก๏ธ Al-Ghani is the One Who needs nothing at all from His creation, for He has the perfect attributes, and all the creation stands in need of Him for all their affairs.
โก๏ธ This noble name is mentioned 18 times in the Qurโan. For example, Allah says that which means:
"O people, it is you who stand in need of Allah; as for Allah, He is the Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy" [Fฤtir: 15]
โก๏ธ Also, Allah says that which means: "And whoever turns away, then Allah is indeed the Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy." [Al-Hadฤซd: 24]
๐ Dear sister, you should know with certainty that you can dispense with everyone except for Allah Almighty. No created being can ever dispense with the Almighty Lord, not even for the blink of an eye or less than that. We are in desperate need of Him all the time.
๐ Remember that no matter what power, status, or authority you may possess, you will still be in need of your Lord and His mercy, help, and favors. Allah says that which means: "Allah wants to lighten your burdens, for man was created weak." [Al-Nisฤโ: 28]. It is only with Allah that you can attain anything of this life or the next.
๐ Be certain that the more you stand in need of your Lord, the richer you become.
๐ In the sight of Allah, richness lies in the contentment of a personโs soul. The Prophet ๏ทบ said, โRichness does not lie in worldly abundance, but in contentment of the soul.โ [Bukhari and Muslim]
๐ Indeed, the greatest thing that can fill a personโs heart with contentment is to know Allah Almighty, and to love Him and believe in Him.

Allah's Names: ุงููุฑูู
ุงูุฃูุฑู
Al-Karฤซm - Al-Akram
(The Generous - The Most Generous)
โก๏ธ These noble names of Allah indicate the abundance of Allahโs favors and the greatness of His giving. Indeed, Allah is Generous and He loves generosity.
โก๏ธ His name, the Most Generous refers to Allah being better in generosity than every generous one. He has no equal in this. Indeed, all good lies in His hands and comes from Him.
โก๏ธ The name Al-Kareem occurs 3 times in the Qurโan. For example, Allah says that which means:
"O man, what has deceived you about your Generous Lord" [Al-Infitฤr: 6]
โก๏ธ The name Al-Akram occurs only once in the Qurโan in the verse that reads:
๏ดฟุงูุฑูุฃ ููุฑูุจูููู ุงูุฃููุฑูู ู๏ดพ
"Recite, and your Lord is the Most Generous." [Al-โAlaq: 3]
โก๏ธ In addition, the Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "Verily, your Almighty Lord is Modest and Generous. He is so Modest that He would not turn down His servant who raises his hands to Him (in supplication) empty-handed.โ [Ahmad]
๐ Dear sister, let us praise our Lord often and not be negligent, for He is the Most Generous, none deserves to be praised more than He does and He praises Himself.
๐ Our Lord is the Generous One Whose favors are innumerable despite the commission of many sins on the part of His servants, so hasten to repent and be ever mindful of your Generous Lord.
๐ Allah is generous and He loves the generous and bountiful people. Show generosity to others and you will be shown generosity by Allah, and give to others and Allah will give you. And be very wary of miserliness as it is not befitting of the Muslim who follows the example of the Prophet ๏ทบ.
๐ Do not ever limit the areas of generosity to money and food. Indeed, there are other areas of bounty that may be greater and more valuable. For example, a person may show generosity through his standing, his knowledge, his time, or his life.

Allah's Name: ุงููุงุณุน
Al-Waasi' (The All-Embracing)
โก๏ธ This beautiful name denotes the vastness of Allah's mercy, knowledge, majesty and all His perfect attributes.
โก๏ธ It occurs 9 times in the Qurโan. For example, Allah says that which means:
"But if the two separate, Allah will make each dispense with the other out of His plenty provision. Indeed, Allah is All-Embracing, All-Wise." [Al-Nisฤโ: 130]
๐ Dear sister, your knowledge of the vastness and greatness of Allah and His mercy, power, knowledge, grace, and giving instills a sense of reverence and fear in your heart from Him, as well as love for Him. Ponder over the words of Allah...

โก๏ธAs Allah says, "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing."

Allah's Name: ุงููุฏูุณ
Al-Qudoos (The Most Holy)
โก๏ธ Al-Qudoos means the One Exalted far above any deficiency or defect whatsoever, for He alone possesses the attributes of absolute perfection.
โก๏ธ This noble name occurs twice in the Qurโan. The first in the following verse:
๏ดฟูููู ุงูููููู ุงูููุฐู ูุง ุฅูููู ุฅูููุง ูููู ุงูู ููููู ุงูููุฏููุณ๏ดพ

โก๏ธ The second mention is in the verse:
๏ดฟููุณูุจููุญู ููููููู ู ุง ููู ุงูุณููู ุงูุงุชู ููู ุง ููู ุงูุฃูุฑุถู ุงูู ููููู ุงูููุฏููุณู ุงูุนูุฒูุฒู ุงูุญูููู ู๏ดพ
"All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth extols the glory of Allah, the King, the Holy One, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." [Jumuโah: 1]
โก๏ธ Knowing this beautiful name of Allah increases the Muslim's love for his Lord, as it teaches us the perfection of Allah from all aspects and the fact that He has no deficiency whatsoever in His self or actions.
โก๏ธ Part of extolling Allah Almighty is to extol His Shariah and deem it exalted above any deficiency. This requires that we rule with His Shariah and this will ensure our safety in this world and in the Hereafter.
โก๏ธ As narrated by Abu Dawood, it is sunnah to recite after finishing the Witr prayer:
ุณุจุญุงู ุงูู ูู ุงููุฏูุณ
"Subhaan Al-Malik Al-Qudoos"
โGlory be to the King, the Holy Oneโ, three times.
โก๏ธ A benefit regarding the association between Allahโs name โthe Kingโ and His name โthe Holy Oneโ is that Allah Almighty is not like the kings in the world who may commit injustice, mistakes, unwise acts or they go through heedlessness and forgetfulness. He is the Holy King Who is absolutely Perfect and Exalted far above all defects.

๐ Allah commands us to exalt Him, knowing this greatness. He says that which means: "And say, โAll praise is due to Allah Who has neither taken to Himself a son, nor has He any partner in His dominion, nor does He need anyone, out of weakness, to protect Him.โ So exalt Him in a manner worthy of His exaltation." [Al-Isrฤโ: 111]
๐ In light of this noble name and attribute of our Lord, we were commanded to say Takbฤซr in many areas of worship, for example:
โก๏ธ when we commence the prayer and when we move from one position to another in it
โก๏ธ during the Adhฤn
โก๏ธ during the Tawฤf, Saโi, the throwing of pebbles at Hajj
๐ When you say Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Most Great), remember that Allah is Greater with His Self than any other self. He is Greater with His safety and relief than any affliction. He is Greater with His forgiveness than any sin. He is Greater with His cure than any illness. He is Greater with His power than any enemy. Allah is the Most Great, and all praise is due to Him.
