Molo Residents Assist in Recapture of Escaped Convict
A man convicted of defilement and serving a life sentence, Stanley Cheruiyot, is back in custody at Nakuru GK Prison after a daring escape and recapture within 24 hours.
Cheruiyot was apprehended in Molo town on Monday evening thanks to the vigilance of residents who spotted him acting suspiciously. He had escaped from Nakuru Level 5 Hospital earlier that day while awaiting surgery for a dislocated arm.
Prison authorities are investigating how Cheruiyot managed to escape while handcuffed. He is expected to face additional charges for escaping lawful custody.

Francis Ndichu Kimani, 24, was arrested after a sting operation in Kiamumbi. The suspect is known for vandalizing vehicles parked at night. Residents had reported sleepless nights due to the vandalism and some even resorted to parking their cars far away or hiring watchmen.
The arrest comes as a relief to the residents who can now hopefully rest easy at night knowing their vehicles are safe.

Police in Kamulu arrested Salesio Njagi Kiura and recovered five suspected stolen vehicles from his home. The raid followed the report of a stolen car in Nairobi on June 10th.
