The next Artist Spotlight stream will be this Saturday, June 7th at 8pm EST with the talented Sarah from Loom Woven and itโ€™s a real treat to have someone on with so much experience and skill in such a precious and ancestral craft. From spinning, dying and weaving to handcrafting buttons Sarah can do it all in her realm of textiles. Iโ€™m looking forward to this and hope youโ€™ll join us! As always Iโ€™ll be joined by friends of the channel and taking audience questions and comments should they arise. This and all Artist Spotlight streams will be recorded for those who canโ€™t join us live.

As I look toward the future of my business and reflect on its last six years of growth and development, one of the things I cannot help but be thankful for is its number of successes--driven in large part by my wonderful customers. From creating my niche from scratch, to earning Torchbearer Of Culture from the AFP, and everything in between, I really am so thankful for the opportunity to have built what I have.

From finding my own style all those years ago to now seeing my niche emulated in other spaces, The Witch Mother is a true extension of myself and my energy into the physical world: 100% me. I have always believed that the best art comes from a deep sense of authenticity and of knowing one's self, and the last few years have been the best opportunity to showcase this.

To those who have supported me from the very beginning, who recognize the soul and fingerprint of my work, thank you. The wonderful community of my customers and friends means the world to me, and has helped me stay rooted in my true vision all this time. I cannot thank you all enough.

Looking forward, I am more inspired than ever to create meaningful pieces that inspire and resonate with the community.

Here's to authenticity, to building real culture, and to my fantastic supporters. Thanks yโ€™all!

'Summer Rain'

Now available:

One of a kind, handwoven on a loom, completely made/ finished by hand.

The yarns are raw silk and organic cotton. The organic cotton yarns were hand dyed with wildflowers (Black-eyed Susan and Coreopsis) in steel gray and gold colors.

It is incredibly soft.

The three buttons are mid-century vintage Japanese plastic. I don't usually use plastic, but the fact that they're from that era in Japan is interesting to me. The buttons were salvaged from an old family sewing box and are sturdy, while having a pretty creamy yellow color to compliment the textile.

Each button has a patch of hand tanned doe skin leather backing for durability.

This shawl can be worn in multiple ways.

I've named it Summer Rain in honor of the quickly changing weather patterns experienced in the mountains. From sun, to fog, to rain, to thunder and lightening, and back to sun again...

Please email luckyloom@proton.me to claim/ purchase.

Sliding scale pricing $150-$225, pay what you can.
