The proposed Human Rights Act reforms must be withdrawn. The Government must not make any changes to the Human Rights Act, especially ones that dilute people's human rights in any circumstances, make the Government less accountable, or reduce people's ability to make human rights claims.

The Government is running one of the, arguably, most important consultations of all times right now until 8th March asking for your opinion on removing the Human Rights Act - consult.justice.gov.uk
Here at Save Our Rights UK our Human Rights are fundamental to all of the work we do, they need preserving in legislation to protect us from Governments gone rogue.
Therefore we have broken down the information re the consultation into 10 days of bite size pieces so everyone can fully understand what is going on.

We are launching a major drive to pause the roll-out of covid vaccines to children, and to stop its approval for 5-11 year olds.
We are throwing our support behind the Children's Covid Vaccine Advisory Group,a group of 100 UK doctors and scientists who have come together to raise the alarm.
The group has written to the government's advisers, the JCVI, compiling new evidence that shows vaccinating children against omicron carries no benefit, while the risks are real.
The JCVI appears to agree, but it is hesitating in the face of political pressure.
We need you to contact your local GPs and ask them to read and co-sign the letter.
The attached PDF has all the info and links that you need including to the full letter and cover note.
Print out several copies, top and tail the cover note,and deliver to their reception. If you have their email, do that too.
You will never have an easier opportunity to save a young life from being devastated.

Reforming human rights legislation to give priority consideration to domestic law could create uncertainty, a former Supreme Court justice has warned.
An independent review into the Human Rights Act recommended amending section 2 of the 1998 legislation, making UK statute and case law the first port of call when interpreting a convention right, before Strasbourg case law is taken into account.
‘By giving prior consideration to national law but continuing to take proper account of ECtHR [European Court of Human Rights] case law, it is designed to promote greater consistency in the application of section 2 by UK Courts and greater domestic political and public ownership of human rights, while giving full effect to the principle of subsidiarity and maintaining the beneficial equilibrium reached between UK Courts and the ECtHR,’ the Gross review states.
However, Lord Carnwath of Notting Hill, who sat on the Supreme Court bench for eight years, told the House of Commons justice select committee yesterday that he disagreed with the proposal. ‘They seem to be saying it would improve our feeling that the thing belongs to us if there was some sort of provision that says “Start off by looking at British law/common law, and then only if that’s not adequate go on to the convention”', he said.

3 things that people need to be concerned about INSTEAD OF being distracted by partygate and thinking if Boris goes its somehow a win:
1. The Online Safety Bill. Making provisions to criminalise anyone who spreads "Covid disinformation", in other words who speaks true science
2. The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. Several of the Bill’s core proposals pose a significant threat to the UK’s adherence to its domestic and international human rights obligations, while also lacking an evidential basis to justify their introduction.
3. The UKs proposals for human rights reforms. An overt power grab by the UK govt, seeking to marginalise the individual further, and make it harder for someone to assert human rights
The above are just the beginning and must be challenged/stopped.
