Covid half as deadly as typical flu year — experts say

Daily deaths from Coronavirus in the UK are running at less than half the expected mortality rate in a bad flu year, MailOnline analysis has found.

Approximately 130 people are dying in England with Covid every day at what is thought to be the peak of the Omicron wave, compared to 1,300 last January.

Comparatively, there were more than 400 influenza deaths during the last bad flu season in 2017-18 and nearly 300 per day the year before those.

T Cells Triggered by Common Cold Fend Off COVID-19, Study Shows

📝@COVID19Up: High levels of protective immune cells that fight some common colds make people less likely to be infected with SARS-CoV-2, according to a study released on Monday (Jan. 10) by the U.K.’s Imperial College London published in Nature Communications.

Researchers found higher levels of T cells against certain colds in people who didn’t develop COVID-19 while living with someone who had the disease. The prior illnesses were caused by other coronaviruses related to SARS-CoV-2.

The findings provide further evidence of the protective effects of T cells, an arm of the immune system that’s gaining attention as new variants like Omicron more easily bypass COVID-19 vaccine protection.

“Being exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus doesn’t always result in infection, and we’ve been keen to understand why,” said Rhia Kundu, the study’s lead author and a researcher at Imperial’s National Heart and Lung Institute. “We found that high levels of pre-existing T cells, created by the body when infected with other human coronaviruses like the common cold, can protect.”

Hi, just thought I'd share some good news. My husband is a headteacher of a large SEN school. He's been pondering on a way to stop vaccinations taking place on his school premises - we're unvaxxed & our children have never had one vax in their lives. Anyway, he told me this evening that Virgin Care are cocking up the vaccinations on a massive scale. The pressure put on all school heads by the brilliant parents serving Notices has meant Virgin have to try to be extra careful in the consent they seek from parents. My husband was asked by Virgin to provide all the names & parent contacts of children aged 12 - 15 last week. He refused outright saying that would breach GDPR. He's now waiting for the right moment to send a letter to parents saying that if they'd like their children vaxed it's a private health matter between them & their GP & nothing to do with the school. He says many other heads in the area feel the same - the Notices have put the wind right up 'em & it's all falling apart 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Those who have been faithful Readers know that in 2009, the "Federal Reserve System" - a trademarked utility of the Federal Reserve, went bankrupt. This was (in a funny way) both the cause and the result of the 2008 financial debacle.

Following TARP and that mop up, in 2017, Chase Bank, one of the controlling shareholders in the Federal Reserve System received the "FEDERAL RESERVE: name and trademark as part of the bankruptcy settlement.

JPMorgan received the name and trademark "FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD OF GOVERNORS" as part of their share of the spoils.

What remained of the Federal Reserve apart from the Federal Reserve System was rolled over into the "U.S. Treasury" - which has actually been the International Monetary Fund (IMF) since 1924 - in 2019.

So, there is no Federal Reserve. Okay? Everyone got that straight? And there hasn't been a U.S. Treasury since 1924 -that's all the IMF in sheep's clothing.
