Does Larry's vision of tolkenization only apply to CBDC or does it include Bitcoin too?

Larry Fink's recent comments on tokenization focus primarily on the technological benefits it brings to financial markets rather than specifically on CBDCs (central bank digital currencies) or Bitcoin alone.

He views 👉 Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies as "stepping stones" toward a broader move to tokenize traditional financial assets, such as stocks and real estate, to increase accessibility and transparency.

Fink has shifted from his previous skepticism about Bitcoin, now describing it as a "store of wealth" similar to gold. However, he doesn't expect Bitcoin to replace traditional currencies for everyday transactions. Instead, he sees Bitcoin as one asset among others in a diverse financial ecosystem that tokenization can facilitate​

Fink’s vision extends beyond Bitcoin to include various assets that could be tokenized on blockchain networks, a development he believes can reduce corruption and enhance efficiency in financial markets.

While Bitcoin supporters often see tokenization as compatible with decentralized cryptocurrencies, Fink’s approach includes regulated products like ETFs that allow institutional investors to access Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies through established financial structures rather than pure decentralized networks..

Therefore, although Bitcoin is a key part of this tokenization shift, Fink’s remarks suggest he envisions an ecosystem that includes both decentralized assets and potentially regulated tokens, like those seen in CBDC implementations, to enhance transparency and reduce financial system risks.
