NHS England: NHS delivers over one million covid vaccines in a week

The NHS Covid-19 vaccination programme is off to a flying start with more than one million (1.16m) autumn covid jabs delivered in a week since national bookings started, providing vital protection to the most vulnerable.
Over 2.8 million people (2,808,234) have also received their flu jabs since the start of the autumn campaign on 11 September, with lots of people receiving their covid vaccine at the same time, making it more convenient for people.

It just shows what a small group of dedicated people, despite being out-numbered, can do with enough passion.
The Honor Pub, the focal point of these children's drag events, will no-longer be hosting a "Drag Queen Story Hour" (i.e. inappropriate-for-children drag adult entertainer events). This is a victory.
Those on the pro DQST side may call those against it the usual regressive bingo terms of "facists/nazis/transphobes" etc, but this is and always been about the safeguarding of children for events which are blatantly inappropriate for children. There is no hate against the gay and/or drag act community.

Just had a call from the owner of the Bank Bar and Grill in Hornchurch to cancel our gig there on October 21.
No reason given other than saying 'there's no interest' - despite our selling tickets already, and there obviously being some.
So offered a gig, then changed his mind - it feels like someone has been in his ear - but for a venue to pull the plug on a gig they had proof we've sold tickets for and then threatening us if we let people know it was cancelled and so not to go, is totally out of order.
It has also cost us over £20 to process refunds for customers who had bought tickets.
Apologies, but what a world we live in eh?
