There is to be an adjournment debate in the HOC on 20th October 2023, about excess deaths.

So I'm expecting an empty house and for all MPs to walk out bar 5.

Despite this I recommend everyone get in touch with their MP to request they attend, perhaps attaching a link to the ONS stats. This is called preparing a case, as when they do not attend you can then get in touch again to let them know how disappointed you are and that they should not expect your vote in the next local or general election.

We will post more on ballot spoiling and why this appears the only option now, in the future. In the meantime prepare to be woefully underwhelmed about who attends the debate, and make sure you share that your MP wasn't part of this very important debate, if they do not attend.

We might not be able to do much about our MPs but I will not roll over and make it easy for them.

During #JacquesAttali's interview with Salomon, Attali was asked if it would be “possible and desirable to live 120 years?” After his lengthy answer, he suggested that #euthanasia may be a tool for future societies. However, he said he did not advocate killing the elderly but spoke out against an infinite lengthening of life.

Insurance Companies will Replace Government

Insurance companies (and the risk-coverage institutions of the financial markets) will create private police forces that will first take care of hypersurveillance of businesses, consumers, and workers. Similarly, the distraction industries will use surveillance technologies and offer performances ceaselessly adapted to the reactions of the spectators, whose emotions will be permanently captured, monitored, and integrated into the play. The fact that the spectacle will be free of charge will serve as a support for new consumption. In order not to seem reduced to fear management, self-surveil-lance will dress itself up as information, as a game, or as entertainment."

The book hypothesizes that "merchant order" went through nine successive geographical "cores" associated with a characteristic technology. The core cities were:

1 Bruges with the central rudder stock (1200–1350)[1]

3 Antwerp with printing (1500–1560)[1]
4 Genoa and accounting (1560–1620)[1]
5 Amsterdam with the fluyt (1620–1788)[1]
