Is Wikipedia Being Used for Information Warfare?

Intelligence agencies have a long history of using propaganda as a tool of war, and the effectiveness of information warfare radically improved with the emergence of the internet, to say nothing of artificial intelligence and social media.

If you’re over 50, you can probably remember a time when your family had a row of encyclopedias on the bookshelf — usually obtained at considerable cost — which were perused whenever you needed to learn more about a particular topic.

Today, you can’t even give a complete set of encyclopedias away because, well, we have Wikipedia. However, Wikipedia has also become a favored propaganda tool, so to call it unreliable would be an understatement.

Manchester Truthers will be supporting The Liverpool Peoples' Resistance ('TPR') to demonstrate against 15 minute cities.

It's time to put differences aside because Liverpool is facing movement restrictions on an extensive level plus information shows that Manchester and Liverpool are closely aligned on their plans. So Manchester will likely not be too far behind if we don't resist in good numbers (we'll post some of this information linking Liverpool and Manchester later).

Whether you do not partake in the yellow 'consent' campaign or whether you support it isn't important in the long-term compared to losing our freedoms. These differences need to be temporarily put aside because Liverpool has already been split into 13 'smart city' zones.

Manchester Truthers doesn't support the yellow consent campaign because of a number of reasons however we will still be there on Wednesday to support TPR. Work to resist 15 minute cities locally in the north can be done independently by many people and groups - it does NOT have to be part of any particular scheme or campaign.

Liverpool and Manchester have always worked well together plus we'll need their support if or when the same type of thing is proposed to be implemented in Manchester. This is also an opportunity to build bridges after previous division... please consider taking this chance to assist Liverpool in its hour of need. 🙏

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen Praises EU Censorship Bill

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen can add another issue that she allegedly has no capacity to properly understand, as far as critics of her works are concerned: this time, the digital age.

What caused this latest round of bafflement regarding the EU Commission’s stance was Leyen’s midweek address to the European Parliament, titled, “State of the European Union.”

Well, some members (MEPs) of that parliament, not least Germany’s digital security and privacy advocate and MEP Patrick Breyer, don’t think the state of the EU is particularly healthy, given Von der Leyen’s remarks.

Ukraine picks Rothschild as advisor, hopes for debt swap

Kiev is preparing to return to international capital markets this month, having appointed Citi, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan to lead a bond issue - its first since a 2015 debt restructuring.

It is unclear what service Rothschild will perform though one source told Reuters the bank would help Ukraine “manage medium-term debt liabilities”.
