“I've been a counselor of Thetford at Town level for a month now I'm pleased to say that things have gone well and that I'm on the Thetford Town Council with a good bunch of people many of whom are first-time councillors as well; Independent Tory and Labour and last week I seconded the motion of our reply letter in response to the letter that was sent to us about the 20-minute neighborhood scheme from the North Norfolk Council.

The letter we were sending out basically states that whilst we're all for the encouragement of walking and cycling we are totally against any restrictions of car movement and any fines for people who choose to use their cars.

The people of Thetford made their voices heard and as a direct result we have prevented what has happened in many other areas of the UK with these 20-minute neighborhood schemes.

So the message is power to the people, get out there make your voices heard, demand that you're heard and you can change things. That's all we can do at this point but more people need to do it so I just thought I'd let you know keep you up to date .. with people keep fighting the good fight”

Key messages.

- UK prime cattle (steers, heifers and young bulls) slaughterings in April 2023 were down 6.4% on April 2022 at 161,000 head. Beef and veal production was 70,000 tonnes, 6.9% lower than in April 2022.

- UK clean sheep slaughterings were down 8.9% on April 2022 at 948,000 head. Mutton and lamb production was 22,000 tonnes, 15% lower than in April 2022.

- UK clean pig slaughterings were down 19% on April 2022 at 765,000 head. Pigmeat production was 71,000 tonnes, 20% lower than in April 2022.

– Saturday 19th August will see Matt Hoy, Elyse, 👉 Daz Nez, Billy Watson and CC perform.
– Sunday 20th August will see Mobius Loop, Tommy Coyle, Tom Byrom, Rob Jones, John Maguire, Charlotte Newman, Maiya and Jane Fraser perform.

You don't, however, need to use or exchange Christmas stamps or 'special' stamps with pictures on, as they will continue to be valid after the 31 July 2023 deadline. 

You'll no longer be able to use everyday non-barcoded stamps from 1 August

We were just about to release our guide to the CBDC Consultation when they added some more questions. The new and updated one will be released shortly but we now have until 30th June to complete it.
