In the 1970s an international think-tank, The Club of Rome discussed Limits To Growth. The plan since then has been to bring in austerity measures, particularly to industrialised nations.
To justify these measures the con of man-made climate cooling, then heating, then change etc... were invented.
To limit growth and transition to a world with less people they are switching to the centralised control of ALL resources, including electricity supply.
Link the dots. It is going to be done globally.

I personally find the argument in the synopsis weak if I've read it right. It doesn't prove the implanting of a false memory, to me it would just show the mouse associating being put in a box with being shocked. Doesn't mean the mouse doesn't remember he/she wasn't shocked in that box before.

The Bill Gates' "Stop ID 2020" petition has been removed by Change.org.
The petition, with close to 200,000 signatures, has been closed. This ban came directly from Change.org who sent an email stating it violated their TOS.
Whilst Change.org porhibit petitions like 'Stop ID2020', they do allow petitions such as: "Cancel the Sun".
👉 In 2014 the Founder of Change.org, Ben Rattray, Received $2.5 Million from Bill Gates, according to this article and this article.

The above article was printed in 2007. The meta-(middle)verse is not the brainchild of Mark Zuckerberg. It will be where future business and commerce takes place (for the time being). Brick and mortar businesses are going to be replaced by virtual shopping places whilst logistics companies take over all control of the movement of products, think Amazon.
Predictive programming for the idea of the Metaverse began in 1992, through a novel called Snow Crash, from Wikipedia:-
"The term metaverse was coined in Neal Stephenson's 1992 science fiction novel Snow Crash, where humans, as programmable avatars, interact with each other and software agents, in a three-dimensional virtual space that uses the metaphor of the real world. Stephenson used the term to describe a virtual reality-based successor to the internet."

Now you'll understand why digital currency and blockchain technology is coming in.
Once this all becomes wireless and imbedded in human tissue it will seal humanity's fate. Whilst one part of you is living in the cloud playing in a fantasy (dream), another part of you (your hijacked mind) will be slaving in a smart city factory (which will be right next to your smart city sleeping dorm) making things for your masters. You will have no sense of being a sentient individual in reality, albeit for being occupied in a virtual mind prison that you will not be able to leave. The part of you that make you who you are will be imprisoned in a complex of digital servers. It will be the end of individuality.
Do you appreciate the important difference between reality and virtual reality? If not, start thinking about it seriously!

Energy suppliers suspend forced prepay meter installations – what to do if you've been switched unfairly
Energy companies have agreed to stop forced installations of prepayment meters, industry regulator Ofgem has confirmed. This includes the remote switching of smart meters into prepay mode, as well as physical meter installations through the use of court warrants. It follows reports that some households were being forcibly switched despite being clearly vulnerable.
In a letter to energy firms published in February, Ofgem said a temporary ban would be in place until 31 March. However, Ofgem has now said the ban will continue beyond this date and won't be lifted until energy firms establish they are acting in accordance with a new code of practice.
