The Government's new “Consultation on draft legislation to support identify verification” may sound reassuringly boring - but in fact it contains some real dangers. This “consultation” has barely been publicised, and the time to complete it is extremely short - both of which features are rather alarming.

I totally reject the proposed "legislation to support digital identity verification." It appears to be a gross intrusion into the privacy of the individual, and a monumental security and safety risk that would endanger members of the public right down to children as young as 13.
It sounds as though all Government departments, Local Authorities and even schools would be sharing highly personal information on citizens - including data as sensitive as income, photos and email addresses.
All this would then be accessible to almost anyone working for the state AND "any organisation" working WITH Government. Can this possibly be true?
Data sharing of personal, sensitive data will open us up to abuse and discrimination.
Do you think it appropriate to run a public 'consultation' on this radical change in the relationship between how citizens provide data to the state, that almost no-one knows about and lasting 8 weeks?
Do you really intend for this to be imposed - with little if any Parliamentary scrutiny - by December?
Government has an appalling record of large scale IT projects and data security. Ministers also repeatedly denied "Covid passes" would be introduced, before they were, so distrust has been earned. In Scotland, the Information Commissioner's Office even found the scheme introduced there broke the law.
This proposal puts the public at risk and leads to greater surveillance, unnecessary monitoring and huge potential to be used in an authoritarian way by the state.
This appears to be legislation that comes with enormous risks to the safety not only of adult citizens but of children as young as 13. It should be scrapped.

The Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC) inquiry into Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoking the Emergencies Act to stop the Freedom Convoy protests concluded that invoking the law was “unnecessary,” but “justified” the Prime Minister’s actions nonetheless.

The event which prompted the meltdown was a staged burning of the Quran outside Turkey's embassy in the Swedish capital:
Those who caused such a disgrace in front of our embassy should not expect any benevolence from us regarding their applications for NATO membership.[1]
Casus belli

During Wojcicki’s tenure, which ran from February 5, 2014 till February 16, 2023, YouTube made many unpopular decisions such as introducing far-reaching “hate speech” and “harassment” rules, restricting creators that produce content that’s “made for kids”, and hiding public dislikes. Wojcicki also made many public statements in support of censoring creators based on broad and subjective terms such as “misinformation.”

According to Senator Diana Ivanovici Șoșoacă, earthquake in Turkey and Syria was caused by the U.S.
Romanian senator Diana Ivanovici Soșoacă, speaking on 8 February before the Romanian Parliament, observed that:
One minute before seismographers detected the earthquake, Turkish gas and oil pipelines were shut down (NB. This is the only allegation we were unable to verify).
• 24 hours before the earthquake, 10 Western countries recalled their ambassadors from Ankara.
• 5 days before the earthquake, several Western countries, including Romania, issued a travel warning to Turkey without providing a motivation.
