My First Operation
We were all waiting. The patient, already anaesthetised, was lying on the operating table. The anaesthetist, sitting at the head of the table, presiding like father at Sunday lunch, kept one eye on the machine by his side and the other on the patient. Two junior nurses were standing quietly behind the theatre sister. They’d tidied up the corner of the theatre where the sister and I had scrubbed and gowned.
The sister stood on one side of the operating table and I, the junior house surgeon, stood on the other side. We were waiting for the surgeon who was going to perform the operation. The patient had already been swabbed with antiseptic and, except for a small square of naked flesh, his whole body was covered with green, sterile towels.

Prime Minister of color”…but does that really matter?
Column inches gleefully talk up the Prime Minister being a “minority” in terms of race, but ignore that’s he’s a member of a much, much smaller minority – the 0.1%.
He’s privately educated and enormously rich. A multi-millionaire former Goldman-Sachs employee married to a billionaire heiress. A man who clearly has no idea how to actually buy ordinary things.
All that is shunted to the side in favour of discussing the least important facets of any individual – what he looks like.

Those little pictures which computer savvy people put on their emails are everywhere. I’m told that even blokes are using them. That’s not right. Real men might eat quiche, I suppose. (Though only as a last resort – just before they start eating grass and wasps.) But they surely cannot use those little picture things on their emails. They’re for children and girls.

"I have not seen the publication he mentions, I have read a lot of the significant amounts of material that have been shoved through my constituency office door by a large number of antivax protesters in my own constituency who have fly posted my office on no less than a dozen occasions intimidating my 18 year old apprentice and the people who live above my constituency office and considering the content of that literature includes climate change denial, moon landings denial etc etc.. I am inclined to ignore their content completely".

Doctors in the UK who pray for or with their patients could be targeted and censured by the General Medical Council. We need to get rid of the GMC. The organisation, which seems to me to be unbelievably bossy, continues to terrify doctors who have, too often, done nothing wrong. Five doctors being investigated by the GMC killed themselves between 2018 and 2020. In a previous eight year period, 28 doctors killed themselves because of the GMC. In my view, the GMC has done infinitely more harm than good to health care in the UK. It is partly the GMC’s fault that there is a massive shortage of GPs in the UK – since many were so distressed by the GMC’s absurd and bureaucratic revalidation process that they retired early. (Thanks to the GMC, once a doctor has retired it is almost impossible for them to practice part time, occasionally or in emergencies.)

At that time, the film had amassed over 990,000 views and was well on its way to one million.
Although this is disheartening, we’d like to thank everybody that helped to share this film and get it seen whilst the window of opportunity was available on YouTube. Frankly we’re amazed it lasted as long as it did there, given the platform’s track record for suppression and censorship.
The film is still, and will always be available to view at oraclefilms.com/safeandeffective with subtitles in over 20 languages.
It has also been posted on Rumble | Odysee | The Highwire | EpochTV and has been mirrored SO many times across various platforms. Again, thank you for that.
